Following the successful inaugural Singapore Charity Golf event held in May 2007, the Singapore America Business Association (SABA) of Northern California, together with the Singapore Consulate General in San Francisco, is again jointly hosting the 2008 edition of the charity golf tournament on May 10th, 2008 (Saturday) @ 11:30am.

This year’s charity golf event will be held at the Johnny Miller-designed Bridges Golf Club (www.thebridgesgolf.com) in San Ramon, California.

Being part of the Bay Area community, Singaporeans and our friends strongly believe in contributing back to the community. Thanks to the contributions from corporate and individual sponsors and participation from the Bay Area community, the inaugural event in May 2007 had raised net proceeds in excess of US$21,000, donated to the Blind Babies Foundation (BBF) (www.blindbabies.org).

Since 1949, the BBF has served families of infants and young children with visual impairments in Northern and Central California, and has helped more than 30,000 children to date.

This year’s charity golf tournament marks another step in our continuing efforts. The net proceeds from the tournament will again be donated to the Blind Babies Foundation (BBF) in support of their efforts.

As the BBF is a 501(3)(c) registered charity, the net proceeds from your kind sponsorships will be eligible for tax deduction. In addition, to recognize individual contribution to this noble cause, $25 will be donated to the BBF for every golfer participating in the tournament.

Last but not least, participants at the charity golf event can also look forward to each receiving an attractive collection of door gifts (eg Nike duffel bag, Nike cap, Nike golf balls, golf shirt, shoe bag, ball markers, etc).

So come and join in the fun and do your part for charity!

11:00am Check-in, welcome gifts + box lunch, driving range (as early as 10:00am)
12:00pm Quick briefing for shotgun tee-off, rules & format, hole-in-one, longest drive,

                 closest-to-pin, etc
12:30pm   Tee off
5:30pm     End of golf game
6:00pm     Buffet dinner, prize awards, raffle draw, auction, etc
8:00pm    End of event
